Writer Resources

ONLINE
Brandon Sanderson, author of Mistborn and other fantasy series, has a great lecture series online. His entire BYU writing course is posted on youtube for free. How awesome is that? Brandon writes fantasy, but everyone can benefit from his fantastic advice. Anytime I get stuck in my writing, I go here and watch a lesson or two. It gets me through the rough patches every time.

Once Upon a Keyboard is a great website to explore and learn about a variety of writing topics, including such things as:
  • The Writer's Life
  • Prewriting
  • Crafting the Manuscript
  • Editing
  • Publishing
Also, I should mention that one of the contributing authors is a wonderful friend of mine, Jennie Stevens, who happens to be an editor for Precision Editing Group. She knows her stuff. This is an amazing resource. You should check it out.
